Cappella privata di Villa storica Lucchese

Un intervento che ha richiesto una certa delicatezza e la volontà condivisa con i nuovi proprietari di recuperare il manufatto nella sua interezza, riportando alla luce affreschi e stucchi. Siamo di fronte ad una cappella di corredo ad una villa storica che presenta tutte le caratteristiche tipiche di tale costruzione: fu realizzata al limitare della “chiusa” della villa, con un ingresso sulla strada vicinale per permettere l’accesso alle persone esterne e un accesso privato direttamente dal giardino della villa per i suoi componenti. Da quest’ultima entrata si accede inoltre ad un’area dedicata e separata all’interno della cappella per assistere alla funzione.

Sono state concordate con la Soprintendenza le varie fasi del restauro, con saggi sulle opere murarie e utilizzo di tecniche e materiali adeguati.

Nella prima fase del recupero è stato necessario ripulire dai rampicanti le pareti esterne per poi fronteggiare le lesioni che si erano create per l’abbandono e intervenire per arrestare le infiltrazioni che rischiavano di compromettere in via definitiva stucchi ed affreschi. Il lavoro di consolidamento dell’intero edificio è stato fatto con materiali adeguati e infine l’intervento dei restauratori su affreschi e stucchi hanno permesso il ritorno all’antico splendore.

Private chapel of a historic Lucchese Villa - 2017

An intervention that required a certain delicacy and the shared desire with the new owners to recover the artefact in its entirety, bringing the frescoes and stuccos to light. We are in front of a chapel attached to a historic villa which presents all the typical characteristics of this construction: it was built on the edge of the "lock" of the villa, with an entrance on the local road to allow access to external people and an access private directly from the garden of the villa for its members. From this last entrance you can also access a dedicated and separate area inside the chapel to attend the function. The various phases of the restoration were agreed with the Superintendency, with essays on the masonry works and use of suitable techniques and materials. In the first phase of the recovery it was necessary to clean the external walls of creepers in order to then deal with the lesions that had been created due to abandonment and intervene to stop the infiltrations which risked permanently compromising the stuccos and frescoes. The consolidation work of the entire building was done with suitable materials and finally the intervention of the restorers on the frescoes and stuccos allowed the return to its ancient splendor.
